I am Kit Bauserman, a graduate student at the College of William & Mary studying horror podcasting and preparing for comprehensive exam fields with a major field in media studies comprised of lists in (1) Narrative and New Media and (2) Queer Media Studies. I am also preparing minor fields in (3) American Horror & Gothic Literature and (4) Folklore Studies.My work and research sit at the intersections of media studies, queer studies, and religious studies. I focus primarily on supernatural narratives and the uncanny in new media. My specific research interests are the queer gothic, the relationship between the categories of folklore/folk religion/religion, the supernatural/folkloric and (self-)representation, sound studies, and hauntology.If you are interested in learning more about my work please check out the links below!
